 For ECFE classes, please register all attending children, not adults.


Watch for upcoming monthly parent workshops offered through Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness. Topics offered will include Understanding and Addressing Challenging Behaviors, How to Parent a Picky Eater and Parents and Preschoolers: Getting Ready for School. Look for more information in the winter/spring Community Education catalog or online.

Preschool Plus

Preschool Plus provides a two-day preschool experience, one day is an ECFE day with parents and one day is a child only preschool day.
To register online please use the PPAM (AM class) or PPPM (PM class).

READY! For Kindergarten

The READY! For Kindergarten program is designed to help participants prepare children with the skills needed to start and stay at grade level throughout their scholastic career. You, the parent or caregiver, are your child's most powerful teacher. With READY! for Kindergarten you can help plant the seeds for success in school and a lifelong love of learning for your child. Join us for upcoming READY!

Summer ECFE

#191SummerFun Summer Session 2018 Registration for Summer ECFE begins online and in person, Thursday, April 12. Classes are just $10 for ISD 191 residents. Friends in other districts may join us for a family fee of $35. Families may register for 1 ECFE class beginning Thursday, April 12. If openings remain, families may register for a second ECFE class beginning June 11. Two-hour classes are separating, and 90 minute classes are non-separating.

 Immunization records are required for ECFE attendance.
Minnesota law requires children enrolled in early education programs to be immunized against certain diseases or file a legal medical or conscientious exemption. Immunizations must be on file PRIOR to the start of class, current as appropriate to the child's age or in progress, in order to attend regularly scheduled Early Childhood Family Education classes.

You may submit your child's immunizations one of the following ways:
1. Fax a current copy of the record to 191 Early Childhood Nurse, at 952-707-4140.
2. Have your child's doctor fax the record.
3. Click on the following two links to complete the Early Childhood Immunization Form and Emergency Care Form, complete and mail or drop off at the Community Education office:
