Early Childhood Screening Appointments
An early childhood screening visit with your child will be needed before registration for preschool and kindergarten. This screening looks at how your child is learning and developing right now to help him or her get ready for school. Early childhood screening is free and available by appointment. Screenings are held at Diamondhead Education Center, 200 W. Burnsville Pkwy,suite 108. Use the lower level parking lot off Pillsbury Ave and enter door 11.
On the day of your child's appointment, make sure you check in at the screening office at least 15 minutes before your appointment time, or you may need to reschedule.
There is no cost for screening. To prepare for your appointment, please download these required forms. Appointments take 30-60 minutes to complete. Please make child care arrangements for siblings. Using the home language during screening can provide a better picture of a child’s development. Interpreter services are provided at no cost to the family. ● Bring proof of identity, such as your child's birth certificate or passport. ● Bring a copy of your child's current immunization record. ● Bring the completed Early Childhood Screening forms with you.
