Description:

An Adult Education Information Session.
Walk away with a better understanding of gender, pronoun usage, and best practices for creating inclusive and supportive spaces.
We will dive into thinking about our own experiences with gender and learn about the differences between gender identity, biological sex, gender expression, and sexual orientation.
While our focus is on our youth, the intention of this workshop is to help foster affirming spaces for all people, minimize harm, and provide tools to interact with queer folks genuinely.
Our presenter, Hannah Edwards, (she/her) is the training coordinator for Minnesota's largest LGBTQ organization, Outfront MN. Hannah is also the Director of Transforming Families, Minnesota's largest and longest running support network for trans and non binary youth and their parents and caregivers. Formerly, she was an art teacher in public schools. She believes that when we all know better we all can do better. When she's not working Hannah loves to spend time with her two daughters and her husband Dave.
