Description:
Age 8-13
Join a naturalist to learn how people have used plants throughout history. This science is also known as ethnobotany. Cross-curricular content combines biology, science and history. Emphasis is placed on respect for the different cultures we are learning about and from. Our primary focus is Indigenous Nations and Europeans use of plants for food, medicine, building materials, and cultural activities. Expect a wide variety of engaging and creative activities, some of which you will take home.
We will be outside some of the time so be sure to dress for the weather, wear closed toed shoes and long pants.
