Kindergarten JumpStart
for children entering kindergarten, Fall 2017
Kindergarten JumpStart provides about-to-be kindergartners with engaging hands-on experiences and social learning intended to support the transition to full day kindergarten. The three week program is modeled after an all-day kindergarten classroom experience with plenty of opportunities to learn through play and practice kindergarten readiness skills.
Kindergarten Jumpstart curriculum focuses on personal and social development, language and literacy, mathematical thinking, arts, and physical development. Children learn about practical elementary school skills including school bus safety and lunch routines and meet people who work in the elementary school including a principal, a cook, a custodian and a teacher. The curriculum offers a rich learning experience designed to spark your child’s interest in learning and assist in the development of knowledge and behaviors that will help children be successful as they enter kindergarten.
Morning snack will be provided at all sites. Lunch is provided at Gideon Pond for both sessions.
Twelve sessions/$180.
