Description:

The BYC summer program is for students living in District 191 only, who are entering grades 6-9 in the fall of 2016.

The BYC (Burnsville Youth Collaborative) will start summer programming on June 20th. The BYC will run Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 4:30pm June 20th through July 1^st, and from 12:30pm to 4:30pm after the BALC Summer Program July 6^th through July 29th. The program will resume 8:30am to 4:30pm hours August 1^st through August 12^th. The fee for this program will be $20.00 (less than one dollar a day), for scholarship information contact Christian Kibler at 952-707-4107. Transportation will be offered for all students!
PROGRAMS

Music Programs at The Garage- BYC students will have the opportunity to receive music lessons and learn about music production and recording at the newly renovated Garage in Burnsville!
Camping Trip- Wilderness Inquiry will be leading the BYC on a camping trip to Lake Itasca.
Sports Camps and Tournaments- Students will be able to learn about and compete in active games such as pickle ball, soccer, basketball, and water polo.
YMCA Camp Streefland- Students will spend their afternoon participating in canoeing, rock climbing, fishing, archery, and more!
Student-Designed Clubs- Students will have the opportunity to create clubs based on their own interests that BYC staff will help run in an afterschool setting.
Cooking Classes- Students will learn to prepare a full meal with an educator from MN-Extension; each student will bring home a bag of groceries so they can prepare that same meal at home!
