Half Pint Horse Literacy Camp

Description:

You will work with miniature horses while learning about horse safety, anatomy and behavior. There will also be time for crafts and snacks. You will learn even more about horses by reading!
Younger/lower level readers will read My Chincoteague Pony by Susan Jeffers and older/higher level readers will read Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry in this camp. The miniature horses involved in the camp have been handled by people from the time they were very young. They have been put though rigorous training and are comfortable in any situation. Small, mild mannered horses with good temperaments are chosen to work in this program. Class will meet outside near the playground. Please bring a water bottle labeled with your name to class each day.
