Learn the "King of Games and the Game of Kings." Students will practice and play the most popular game ever invented. Chess has also been proven to improve concentration and build brain power. When enrollment permits, the chess club will be divided into beginning and intermediate groups. Children will work with staff, ranging from classroom teachers to Burnsville High students with a long-term love of the game. The staff will be coordinated by Brian Ribnick, Metcalf Junior High chess coach. All registered students should meet in the cafeteria and check in with the Project KIDS staff, where a snack will be provided and then students will proceed to the media center for class.
