Weld an Iron Fish

Beginner level
Learn about TIG welding while making an iron fish from a horseshoe. The iron fish may be used as a trivet, door stop or wall art. It may be combined with another horseshoes for a cellphone holder/charging station. TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas, a type of welding that bonds metal to metal without the use of rids, sticks or wire feeds.Local artist Greg Kraft covers welding safety and introduces concepts of sculptural design.
Tuition includes supplies. Instructor provides TIG welder, welding helmets, safety glasses, power tools and gloves. (If you do not have them).
 
Bring to Class:
Class takes place at Nicollet Middle School. Use the parking lot near the tennis courts and enter door 15.
